Great Things Do Come in Itty Bitty Packages

Here at Just a Bite Cake Pops not only do we create delicious treats, but we enjoy eating them just as much, if not more. One of our favorite local dessert companies is called Itty Bitty Sweets and if you haven't heard about them, you are sure to love them as much as we do.

Itty Bitty Sweets was created by a busy mother of three, former teacher and baker extraordinaire; Page Bowman. From the original itty bitty cupcakes to hand dipped pretzels, cookies, pies, cheesecakes and brownies. Located in Ladera Ranch, CA, this dessert company creates small packages of delicious flavor.

Nobody makes something so small, taste so wonderful. Itty Bitty Sweets are the perfect addition to a wedding shower, baby shower, along side of your wedding cake, anniversary party, or any other gathering where people want to have their tiny cake and eat it too. Enjoy these delectable treats soon, they will become a favorite of yours, we just know it.

To reach Itty Bitty Sweets visit them online at http://www.ittybittysweets.com/ or call (949) 292-6878. You can also find them on facebook and twitter.

Sunscreen, Streamers & S'mores

Nothing says summertime like a 4th of July celebration. In Southern California we are spreading on the sunscreen, decorating our cruisers with streamers and heading to the beach or a great park nearby. I even have a sparkly, navy blue, sequined tank top hanging in my closet anxiously waiting for this patriotic holiday.

Whether you are celebrating with a beach barbecue, backyard buffet or a block party, we know just the treat to make everyone mad with envy. Just a Bite Cake Pops are easy to buy, delicious, and even easier to eat. Who wants to deal with a plate and fork on the 4th? Not me, just give me a stick with delicious cake and I’m good to go. My holiday choice is the s’mores cake pop, of course.

Tell us about your favorite 4th of July memory. It may be watching the fireworks from a picnic blanket as a child, or riding your bike in Newport Beach with your friends. Maybe it’s watching the local parade every year with your family and a mimosa, or maybe you just like to sit on a lawn chair in your own backyard. No matter how you party, bring along a cake pop to enjoy while you watch those magnificent bursts of color overhead and enjoy this breathtaking holiday.

Gifts for Dad in the OC

Father’s Day is right around the corner and even though I believe Father’s Day is every day, I also believe a good man is hard to find. So this Sunday why not get your Dad or husband or Pop-Pop the gift they really want, instead of socks and underwear. The following are the top ten Orange County Dad’s gifts according to us and they are awesome, if we do say so ourselves.

1. Just a Bite Cake Pops, of course. www.justabitecakepops.com

2. What dad or Grandfather doesn’t like a bottle of imported beer, a glass of wine or a shot of whiskey? Visit your local BevMo store, or order online and pick up www.bevmo.com is the place for all of your fatherly consumptions or a fancy container to pour them into.

3. My Dad loves to eat lunch anywhere near the water with a view. If he had his choice he would have Father’s Day lunch at one of these three restaurants in Orange County;

• Billy’s at the Beach located at 2751 West Coast Highway, Newport Beach, CA 92663, call (949) 722-1100

• Rusty Pelican at 2735 West Coast Highway, Newport Beach, CA 92663 for more information http://www.rustypelican.com/ or (949) 642-3431

• Duke’s in Huntington Beach located at 317 Pacific Coast Highway, Huntington Beach, CA 92648, call (714) 374-6446 or visit http://www.dukeshuntington.com/ for more info and reservations.

4. If your dad lives locally and he’s ever picked up a 7 iron or a sand wedge, he knows about Roger Dunn Golf Centers. A gift certificate would be the easy solution for your Dad’s day gift dilemna. They have locations in Seal Beach, Anaheim and Santa Ana. For more details visit http://www.worldwidegolfshops.com/roger-dunn-golf-shops.html.

5. What dad wouldn’t want a gift from Tommy Bahama’s in Newport Beach? If you have deep pockets and your dad has taste like mine, you can’t go wrong with a t-shirt, gift certificate to the store or restaurant, or classic button-down shirt from Tommy Bahama’s. Sit back and enjoy http://www.tommybahama.com/TBG/Stores_Restaurants/Newport_Beach.jsp

We hope no matter what gift you choose this Father’s Day you will have a wonderful day spent with the dads in your life. The gift of time is really all he wants, maybe it’s with his children, or maybe it’s watching The Weather Channel with just a beer and his thoughts. Either way, keep it simple and sweet and it will be a Father’s Day to remember.
